FOOD ADVICE FOR THE SECOND TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY

PART ONE

Now that you have reached the second trimester of your pregnancy, you should be aware that both the fetus and you yourself have increased calorie needs and specific nutrients.

It is very important that your child's development is properly achieved and that your pregnancy is good, so the amount and quality of the diet you follow should be determined in co-operation with your doctor and dietitian.

The goal is fetal health and yours, so you should follow these steps:

1.Make a calorie boost from food containing the nutrients ingredients you need.

2,Make an increase in the amount of protein you receive from high-quality protein foods such as legumes, milk,  yogurt, meat, poultry and fish according to the recommendations we will give you.

* Watch out for fish: consume up to 2 servings of 180 grams a week

*AVOID; Swordfish, shark, bark, tuna.

*attention to liver: it is forbidden because it contains high amounts of vitamin A, which is toxic to the fetus during pregnancy.
